    1. Indigenous to where?

Because Claire Coleman (who is also occasionally visible on Reddit as u/clairegcoleman) has done some **superb** speculative fiction through an indigenous Australian lens

If you like fiction: moon of the crusted snow or the
Marrow thieves. Five Little Indian is fiction but speaks to the legacy of residential school trauma. Jesse thistle wrote a great memoir.

21 things you may not know about the Indian act is a great non fiction book.

Richard wagamese is another great First Nation author. I haven’t read any if their work yet but Billy Ray Belcourt has a unique point of view.

Here is a list from the cbc website. They have a lot more articles like this if you poke around. https://www.cbc.ca/books/35-books-to-read-for-national-indigenous-history-month-1.5585489

There’s a recent horror anthology, Never Whistle at Night, that’s a collection of stories from indigenous authors. I think that would be a good place to start, if you’re looking for fiction.
