I’ve begun my nonfiction reading recently. Prior to a few years ago I assumed all nonfiction would read like textbooks or self help books that I wouldn’t relate to.
I began exploring nonfiction through recent feminist literature (eg: Men Who Hate Women, Hood Feminism, Brown Scars/white tears). I have created a foundation of nonfiction here but I haven’t been able to expand passed feminist literature.
I’m not sure what bridges could be made, but I’m looking for book recommendations that would expand my nonfiction reading collection. I enjoy learning about psychology (would need to have in depth explanations), history, economics/politics, and business.
Any recommendations that would bridge the gap between feminist literature and my above interests would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!!!

You could start by reading other nonfiction that involves a degree of progressive political thought, but are rooted different subjects.
Three that come to mind are: **The Mismeasure of Man** by Stephen Jay Gould, which explores the science of human intelligence and the racist history of IQ tests; **The Jakarta Method** by Vincent Bevins, which covers US anti-communist coups during the Cold War, particularly the massacres of Communist Party members in Indonesia; and **Divided We Stand** by Majorie J. Spruill, about how the US feminist movement split over the push for the Equal Rights Amendment in the 1970s.
