Hi there!
Looking for books that read like a Boygenius song, so: queer (preferably sapphic), literary/contemporary fiction, perhaps a little sad, with themes of longing, anti-capitalism, perhaps overcoming addition, queer-related religious trauma, coming of age, perhaps with an unhinged girl trope.
Some books that I’ve read previously that fit this theme pretty well are:
Emily Austin’s Everyone in this Room Will Someday Be Dead, We Do What We Do in the Dark by Michelle Hart, and pretty much everything Ottessa Moshfegh/Sally Rooney adjacent.
Any thoughts?
