I want a book [series] like The Locked Tomb series

I am absolutely obsessed with The Locked Tomb series. Everything about it. The writing, the characters, how Sapphic it is, the relationships between the necromancers and their cavaliers, the clear mental illness in it, how angry it is, just, everything.

I am in desperate need of something similar. Ideally fantasy or sci-fantasy. Feminine rage, female protagonist, mystery, and trauma are must haves. I like character studies, dark and gritty settings, and moral ambiguity.

I do not want childbearing to be a big thing, nor a decision on whether or not to do so to be a big thing. I want the character(s) to focus on other things in their life. Romance is optional, smut is optional.

I've loved Six of Crows, Sabriel, Red Sister, The Poppy War, Brimstone Angels, and the character study aspects of Pillars of the Earth (but definitely not the way he handles women).
