I was reading Eva Schloss’ story of survival in Auschwitz as an ignorant in WW2 events and I just can’t grasp the formation of it all. Just how exactly did people go crazy and decided to murder millions just for being Jews? How did so many crazy people decided that that was the right thing to do and had the power to make it happen? What was going on politically while the Holocaust happened? You know, just how exactly did things walk towards that surreal direction? I’d like indications of books that can clear up all of that. If you can help me, my sincere appreciation!
