How tf do i select a book to read.

I like reading but it doesn't come too naturally to me like I have to put some effort into it unless the book is really intersting.

It takes considerable time and effort from me to read a book but the most irritating part is still selecting what to read.

How do you select a book?

What i currently do is look at non spoiler reviews but the issue is there are all types of people in the world hence all types of reviews. Good books have bad reviews and vice versa. So i do a deeper research on the reviewer and see if they have read any book that i have also read and we had similar experience.

But this process takes lots of time and effort. And it doesn't even guarantee anything. I read lots of good things about dark matter only to find it basic af and repetitive.

It has kind of become a rant but you get my point. HOW DO I SELECT BOOKS!?
