This question came to my mind when I read this book review by mark fisher on thomas ligotti's essay book"conspiracy against human race". He called it "work of amateur philosophy in the best possible sense". So it made me think if you had came across philosophy book which was written by non-philosopher, which you find good.

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. He was not a professional philosopher, just a guy dealing with a stressful job.
