I used to read a lot in my mid teens, unfortunately it's something I have not kept up with.
I remember reading a lot of the Cherub Series by Robert Muchamore, and the Companions Quartet by Julia Golding.
More recently and probably my favourite book was 'The Passage' by Justin Cronin, 'The Twelve' was also a good book but I struggled to get through the last one of the series.
I've got about 3/4 of the way through 'Trollslayer' by William King, but as its the omnibus there's just so many pages left and I'm struggling.
I'd love to get to the point where I can tackle 800 page books again, but it's just daunting.
I just bought me and my wife a kindle, and I'd love some recommendations on some short, 150 ish page books so I can get back into the habit of finishing them again.
I'd love something like 'The Passage', post apocalyptic, suspenseful, thrillery. If anyone has played the Dead Space games something like that in book format would also appeal.
I want to feel dread for the main character I think more than anything else.
Apologies for the waffling, and thank you for any reccs.
Edit: I'm happy with Fiction or Non Fiction!
