    As the title says I’m looking for these types of books. Company does something shady, burying barrels beneath land that eventually becomes a housing development or school. Or they illegally dump chemicals in the local river. Or accidental spills.

    Following the how and why, what symptoms and/ or birth defects the people are suffering from. And the court case and what happens after.

      Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant has some aspects of what you are looking for although it’s not about contaminated land. It deals with human greed in relation to the ocean. It’s a horror book about killer mermaids.
