So I'm obsessed with Baldur's Gate 3 and would love to read a fantasy novel that had the same vibe. I read a lot of science fiction but am completely clueless about the fantasy genre. Some of my favorite science fiction books are the Culture series, the work of Arthur C. Clarke, the Hyperion Cantos, The Expanse, and the Dune series. I would love the fantasy equivalent of these with the vibe of BG3.
Two caveats though:
- No YA. I want something adult oriented, something I can really sink my teeth into.
- No Brandon Sanderson. No slight on him, it's purely personal. You know when somebody you ended up having a hard time with really likes something and that thing is kind of ruined by association?
