In February my stbxh was arrested for harming our child. It was minor but the step I needed to get us out. The abuse was not just this once, but what feels like a lifetime for me since I had been with him for 25 years. We are all in therapy. One of the biggest challenges has been me and boundaries with my children. They're dealing with a lot and I was always a pushover trying to compensate for his, let's call it evil. Since the structure has changed, I am having hard time putting in boundaries. When I do, they are fought pretty hard. But I am learning. My therapist recommended I find parenting books on how to set boundaries. Are there any that deal with abuse and divorce and how to set boundaries and other things that might help me on this new journey?
To add, they are 13 years and older if that helps with recommendations.
