I've recently realised I enjoy having two books on the go. I usually have a more weighty or chunky longer novel going – often on Audible but not always – which I might read over a month or two. At the same time, I'll be reading a shorter book (usually also a novel, but doesnt have to be) that I can pick up when tired, or want a change. Having something I can get through quicker just makes me feel better and more "accomplished" in my reading, and I like being able to get through more books! So, any suggestions for short novels (or just books)? Ideally less than 150-200 pages.
Stuff I've enjoyed in the past:
Orbital by Samantha Harvey
Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin
Sum: Tales from the Afterlives by David Eagleman
A Whole Life by Robert Seethaler
Thanks!
