I just finished reading The Magic Toyshop by Angela Carter. It’s a very quick read, it only took me 2 days, but it’s captivating.
I also recently finished Jamaica Inn by Daphne Du Maurier, which was another one that was hard to put down. Both she and Carter really know how to hold their readers’ attention.
