I suffer from it too. All my life I have been in an autopilot state, it has been conditioned to me from childhood, to do what my parents want mw to do.
I am too afraid to make any decisions because I don't want to make a wrong one and live through it. But that just ends up me not living meaningfully in any way.
Is there a story about a protagonist who suffered this? And worked to improve it? And it didn't magically go away like I've heard it did in midnight library, again I didn't want to make the decision to read the book, so I just read summaries.
