Hi all,
I'm looking for stories that provide unorthodox or generally unseen moral arguments. I always find these stories more interesting to read than typical ones, for example:
We all know military fiction which glorifies war (with no real moral arguments to it- it's just for fun)
And we all know books that deconstruct the genre and argue that war is bad (no shit)
But I'd love to find a book that takes it even further and is written in a manner similar to the second, but takes a radically different conclusion on it than what is seen in 90% of pop culture (this example would be: actually, war IS great! Even after indulging in all the misery #2 would show)
I'm not looking for books written from the perspective of amoral or psychopathic protagonists for the sake of shock like American Psycho, but something that, even if completely absurd, feels like it has something to say and makes you think.
Thanks in advance

Two books springs to mind:
**Dreams of Sex & Stage Diving** by Martin Millar
**Gone Girl** by Gilliam Flynn
Both are relative down to earth, no epic intergalactic wars and such, more focused on relationship. Still, they have some interesting perspectives.
