Loved War and Peace…loved it. Need to figure out what's next! I'd like to keep working through classic novels (non-exhaustive list below). I really loved the philosophical lens and the dissection of human nature/psyche and encouraging self reflection, while also being witty and exciting in turn. Bonus points for female authors, I feel like I've read a lot of male authors. TIA!
Have been recommended and am considering:
Brothers Karamazov;
Watership Down;
Lonesome Dove;
East of Eden;
Les Mis;
1984
Have loved:
Catch-22;
The Idiot;
The Jungle;
Of mice and men;
Night (Wiesel);
Hitchhikers guide
Have read (meh):
Various Hemingways (I like his short stories better);
A Lost Lady;
Gatsby;
Grapes of wrath
