I’m sorry if this is vague but I’m depressed, is there any realist literature preferably of 19th century- early 20th century that has a backdrop of a calm and simple life, which will make me love myself once again?

I recently read the overcoat and although it was a [kinda spoiler?!] bit sad in the end I liked how it was written, so I’m looking for realist literature. Id be happy to find a book that I get lost in so I feel less empty when I’m outside my comfort zone these days.
