I was looking for Blind Owl and thankfully the writers have last names that start with H, otherwise I'd never know about this book. I was skimming through when I saw the tittle and thought to myself, "Now that's a tittle that I painfully admit resonates with me, *YOINK*".

It's only 98 pages long yet you get the whole life story of the character and the oppressive environment he is in, not his immediate surroundings but the people and the system he has no choice but to obey. Through out the book there is no doubt that the character is 100% content and even happy with who he is and where he is at in life, however he cannot escape the fact that the people he has to co-exist with and the system that is ever demanding will only ever see himself as a failure and the only reassurance for his existence are long dead writers and the beautiful characters that never even existed. He knows his life isn't that bad but the eyes that look at him only ever curse him. This might be a book that I love more and more the more I think about it.

Anywho, if anyone else has read it then I'd love to know your thoughts.
