I've read Finkel's: An American Dreamer, which is a narrative about an Iraq War Vet who has returned from deployment having fought in a war overseas to now end up fighitng another (metaphorical speaking) in his own country, as he was raised on beliving the vision of America that values, honesty, fairness & respect towards others. However he's surprised by the behavior and beliefs of others & engulfed by the fear, anger and the confusion sweeping through his homeland.

When I've picked up another copy of the same book, this time translated into Japanese (of course, they mirror the reading orientation on being read from right to left, like they always do when translating books from English or other European languages into Japanese.) in which it was titled as: アメリカの悪夢 literally means: "An American Nightmare" which creates some juxtapositioning in terms of the book's title, reflecting the contrast on how the US went from a respectful to a rude / bad nation.

    1. Maybe the translators are right and that should have been the title of the book 💀
