    hi guys !

I hope you're all doing great.

The title says it all. I love reading, but I've only been reading non-fiction (I study and work in sociology and psychology, so I mostly read research stuff lol) for several years. I LOVED reading novels as a child and teenager, and now miss reading fiction. Problem is that I don't even remember what my taste is. What would you recommend to someone new (well, not really, but you get me) to reading fiction ?

I'd love to read your recommendations. It can be any genre, any style. Please base your recommendations on your personal taste to help me find mine again !

However, I will say I want relatively short books (around 200 pages would be ideal, but up to 300 is okay). I also do NOT want to read sad things during the summer, so please nothing too heartbreaking !!

    Thanks in advance 🙂

    1. Ha, I like heavy and lengthy fiction. But erring toward sweet or silly… try:

      Murderbot
      Project Hail Mary.
      Orconomics.
      Off to be the Wizard.

My go to book rec for people who want to get into reading is Holes by Louis Sachar, because it appeals to all ages, has really short chapters, and is super engaging!

    3. City of Thieves by David Benioff is a book I recommend to everyone regardless of how much they read or what they read. Give it a shot.
