Currently reviewing for the bar exam in a foreign jurisdiction and I am just so tired (it’s in a month). I would really appreciate a book that gives me a breather at night before I sleep, something that is an escape, makes me happy, a breather, or all three.
Definitely not something law related. Not romance.
My usual comfort reads are the children’s books I grew up with: Harry Potter, Mysterious Benedict Society, A Little Princess. I read through these already, please help me before I go fully insane in my bar review without a book as an anchor. I’m saving “heavier” books like Dune, Demon Copperhead, Pachinko, etc. for after the bar exam. I tried to start Dune and I loved it but it was too full for me if that makes sense.
I thought ”brainless” reads like ACOTAR would work but to be honest I ended up feeling frustrated at the main character and the writing.
I would appreciate some suggestions because I am a bundle of nerves and I can’t even fully articulate how I’ve been feeling, basically at my most vulnerable now haha. Just really need a good book to look forward to before I sleep for some peace of mind.
Tldr: Breather book before I sleep
