I’m seeking historical fiction books about medieval women, books about long ago in Asia like dynastic China or ancient Japan. Things touching on ancient civilizations and/or caliphates from the Middle East. Throw me all your faves please.
I am familiar with Philippa Gregory, of course. I know about CW Gortner and Margaret George and enjoy both.

**The Wolf Den by Elodie Harper**: This is the first book in a trilogy set in the ancient Roman city of Pompeii. It follows the story of Amara, a slave in a brothel, as she navigates the complexities of survival, friendship, and ambition in a brutal world. Loving the series so far, I haven’t finished the third book just yet but definitely will!
