Everyday in this sub at least 1 person a top-tier prompt, eliciting dozens– if not hundreds– of phenomenal recommendations. Settings, themes and archetypes I didn't even realize I yearned for myself.

A book with a badass childless cat lady? Favorite Octavia Butler and Stephen King books? The most beautiful book you've ever read?

I lurk from the shadows, laughing maniacally as I jot down titles. Profiting from the wealth of recommendations, curated for someone else. Basking in the glory of bloated libby wishlist.

    Thank you.

    1. I feel this so hard lol.

I do the same thing (I also do give suggestions, and I cannot for the life of me stop suggesting Stephen King right now), and when I can’t read through all of the suggestions, I copy the link to the post and send it to myself via email so I can go back and make sure I got everything 😅

Same. I kinda feel like I need to stop visiting this sub, because my to-read list is starting to get unmanageable.

I definitely give recommendations and take LOTS of them. When I recommend stuff, I sometimes feel like it’s the same ~10 books. Then, I see someone else recommend a book that I’ve read, I have a lightbulb moment, and it gets added into the recommendation rotation.
