Looking for a dark & dangerous fairytale or short story that touches on topics of neglect and being an outcast/alone in society.

I would like to read some short stories that touch on the subjects of neglect, not fitting in society, feeling monstrous, and or being an outcast to gain perspective for an observation I’m doing. All helpful results are welcome, thanks in advance.
