Tried to make it through Blood Meridian and just couldn't do it. Prose was beautiful and the story was great but found it hard as fuck to understand what was going on for long stretches of the novel and kinda gave up on it. I plan to return to it eventually but just not completely ready for it.
Blasted through the Road in a day and loved it. Thought about trying No Country for Old Men but I just watched the adaptation not too long ago and it's a little too fresh in my mind to jump right into the book.
Any recommendations that are lesser known or talked about?

I loved his last two: The Passenger and Stella Maris. Read them the second relatively soon after the first.
