I've been really struggling against my OCD lately. suggest me some enthralling reads to pull me out of reality. I like fantasy, bildungsroman, lots of character development and focus, with elements of mystery. manga and novels are fine, as well as short stories or novellas.
my top faves are Piranesi, I'll give you the sun, the mysterious Benedict society series, the outsiders, the girl from the other side manga, if that helps.

If you don’t mind reading Young Adult books (I don’t, and I am turning 35 in a few months), I would suggest the following series, all by Darren Shan. They are short reads, and I legit could not put them down.

If you’d prefer more adult novels, I would suggest diving into Stephen King’s vast bookshelf. Maybe start with some of the short story collections ([Skeleton Crew](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13440.Skeleton_Crew) and [Night Shift](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10628.Night_Shift) are among some of the best, but personally I think they are all great…all 12 of them), or perhaps even venture down the [Dark Tower series](https://www.goodreads.com/series/40750-the-dark-tower) path (also available as graphic novels).
I would highly recommend The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern!
