I’m really craving a mystical / witchy / folk kind of book but with a really gripping storyline!
I’m a spiritual person and am fascinated by ancient celtic knowledge.
For context I’ve just finished Dune which I didn’t love but did really enjoy the Bene Gesserit storyline.
I’ve read a bit of Discworld and enjoyed the folky vibe. Also read Lapvona this year and again enjoyed the weird evangelical vibe but overall thought the book was average. Tried 100 Years of Solitude but couldn’t get into it.
The Secret History is one of my favourite books ever so something that has this kind of grip would be great! Also preferably written by a woman.

I’ve got a few ideas…The Witch’s Heart by Genevieve Gornichec, Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo, Night Film by Marisha Pessl, and a lighthearted rec of The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna.
I highly recommend The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo!
