I read Annihilation last year and loved it. Its probably my favorite of the weird fiction/cosmic horror genre. However I have been hesitant to continue the series as I thought the Annihilation was a perfect book on its own with the unresolved ending and feeling of helplessness in the face of the unknowable. I don't want an explanation or resolution to Area X. Would you recommend me to continue the series or should I preserve that feeling?
I also read Borne since which is also fantastic and picked up a copy of City of Saints and Madmen that I haven't gotten around to.
