I’ve recently been really into American History in general and whenever I read history I like to do it chronologically as it feels like the “story” of the nation or country is unfolding.
I’ve been able to find some great books that cover the founding of the U.S. up to about the end of the 19th century. However I’m having trouble finding early 20th century books, particularly the time period 1896-1929.
I’d love for a suggestion of a “general” history book ideally one that doesn’t focus exclusively on one topic like prohibition or WW1, but mentions these things along with everything else.
