Okay I am in serious need of book recommendations, I’ve been searching high and low for one to satisfy a certain craving. I’ve been hearing that one song by Ethel Cain (Strangers) that everyone’s obsessed with and I need to find a book that matches the movie it creates in my head. I want it to have ANGST, drama pls I love me some drama, a sprinkle of darkness (but I tried with the dark romance ones but it was doing way too much with the rich random billionaires of god knows what industry who’s also secretly a mafia boss and the plots where all over the place mixed with way too much SA and kinks that were too disturbing for me – um no offense to anyone who enjoys it cause maybe one day I’ll get into it but it’s not the vibe at atm), oh and smut and a but of enemies to lovers but it’s more like hate. In my head I’m imagining sort of like the summer I turned pretty but without the love triangle that I’m not a huge fan of and older with smut I guess and like darker spicy drama but u know like when they’re in close proximity and in scenes in my head they’re in the same house but every time I search for something like this it ends up being some type of step siblings or foster brother type stuff which isn’t too bad if written right. I also enjoyed a book called every summer after a couple years ago idk I like a lot of type of books but right now I’m on my period and apart from ice cream I’m craving this type of book that has tension and angst and drama and build up ughhhhhhhh where is it?!? It’s making me cranky
