Hi friends, I’m a bit behind on my reading goal and I’m looking for books that are hard to put down. Typically I tend to read books with short chapters faster. My go to books are mystery/thriller/horror but I’m open to anything!
I recently read Rebecca, and I could not stop thinking about it. Finished it very quickly!

Not in your usual vein but Cannery Row has short chapters, vivid characters, and is efficiently worded.

The Housemaid series is super good! I couldn’t put it down.

For me it’s still “Hidden Fires: A Holmes Before Baker Street Adventure.” I always add that I am a fan of Sherlock Holmes both the original stories and the better “new fiction” (stories and novels) – this is the one book I go back to when I think about what a involving experience reading is supposed to be.

The Escape Room by Megan Goldin, it’s a psychological thriller. I read it super fast, could not put it down!

And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. 10 strangers invited to a secluded island begin dying off one by one in accordance with a child’s nursery rhyme. Christie at her very best.
