My wife is a new teacher looking to build out her classroom library, and she's looking for recommendations appropriate for 6th and 7th grade.
I saw some posts on this subreddit from about a year ago with a lot of great ideas, but I'm sure some amazing stuff has been published since then, too.
Also, I posted this on r/teachers, and all of the responses were just warning her not to spend her own money on books. That's great advice, but she's still looking for some specific title recommendations.

[Nevermoor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/6a6d5ca1-b2f5-47be-828c-018144d3bbc7) by Jessica Townsend! It’s my favorite series even as an adult, and one I would have for sure loved in middle school as well!
Here are some others I’d recommend:
– [Sal and Gabi Break the Universe](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/e2983156-c0df-4398-9a26-773e9f49b369) by Carlos Hernandez

– [The Girl Who Drank the Moon](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/b8b6a493-2301-493a-bc3e-d4e79c04f4a3) by Kelly Barnhill
– [City Spies](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/80a7e831-1b5f-474d-9ab1-52fc68c0a325) by James Ponti
– [A Kind of Spark](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/82685465-9472-4b5f-9f53-9895c1bb957f) by Elle McNicoll

Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins! This series is by the same author as The Hunger Games, but it came out a few years earlier and is aimed at a younger audience. Super overlooked.
I would suggest checking your local FB Marketplace for cheap/free books, too!
