My best friend lives a few states away and we have a standing phone date every two weeks where we catch up and discuss books. We are in need of a new book to read together.
We have very different lifestyles, beliefs, and perspectives, so we usually read things we disagree about but are both interested in (the last book we read was about the brain and the one before was about the soul).
Since Fall is quite busy for both of us, and we've never read fiction together, I'm looking for a short story collection. Preferably with stories by different authors in different genres. Things that are interesting to dissect and explore, but also pleasurable to read.
