Hi there! Looking for anything that feels like summer in New England. Beaches, boats, ice cream, vacations, family homes. Would prefer feel-good but open to any suggestions!
I was on vacation in Rhode Island a couple weeks ago and have been finding myself really wanting a read that captures just the pure summer joy out there! I’m from Texas and summer feels more constant and less romanticized.

It’s not exactly feel good, but I reread summer sisters by Judy Blume every year on the vineyard!
Happy Place by Emily Henry mainly set in Maine in a fictional town
Elin Hilderbrand’s Nantucket books could work for you. Try The Five-Star Weekend.
Pamela M. Kelley’s The Seaside Sisters and The Bookshop by the Bay could also be good.
Nora Robert’s Dancing on the Air is a romance with paranormal elements, but it’s set on a fictional east coast island during summer.
We Were Liars, but it is absolutely not feel good by the end, but if you’ve ever wanted a private family island off Cape Cod that you and your extremely your cousins run wild through for the summer, that fantasy is the bulk of the book.
Theophilus North by Thornton Wilder
The Gold Coast by Nelson DeMille
