I’m endlessly entertained by Quixote, but it’s also challenging enough to keep me involved and thinking hard. The book doesn’t have to be funny per se, but just engaging.
Some books I’m considering are Brothers Karamazov and Tristam Shandy.
P.S. I cannot stop laughing about Sancho Panza’s grudge with “the Blanket”. It gives me so much joy…

Depends on your tastes. Dungeon Crawler Carl might fit. Or Off To Be the Wizard.
Tom Jones, by Henry Fielding.
Tristram Shandy, by Laurence Sterne.
Orlando by Virginia Woolf
Moby Dick by Herman Melville
Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. LeGuin
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Brothers Karmazov is great, just not as flowey as Don Quixote
If you want real challenging, try Fountainhead by Ayn Ryand, still don’t know what I read.
