I have Aphantasia, which is a condition where I physically cannot visualize things or imagine in a sensory way.
For the last 8 years or so, I haven't really read many books unless I was forced to, because they are just blocks of paper with words on them to me. I'm looking for books that rely more on clever wordplay or characterization over descriptory language.
My favorite books are Catch 22 and House of Leaves, and my two favorite authors are Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. I also really enjoy how the Hitchhikers Guide series is written, and I've been recently reading assorted discworld books.
If there are more books out there like House of Leaves that use the formatting of the words themselves as a visual tool, that'd be dope to hear about.
Thanks!
