I am 21 years old. I have read a few books that we had around the house such as the “Thursday murder club” by Richard Osman. “Holes” by Louis sachar and also “Home strech” by Graham Norton. Some TV series i like are things such as game of thrones, the witcher, stranger things, breaking bad, brassic, Mr in-between, prison break, power.

    1. My go to for this question is always Lord of the Flies because it’s easy and profound and relevant.

Slaughterhouse five is another sure fire bet, but deeper, although it appears quite silly.

Good to get a female in there too, I love Atwood. Oryx and crake would be good place to start.

    2. I’ll always suggest Sir Terry Pratchetts Discworld, and imo the place to try it out is with the book Mort. If you don’t like that one, Discworld is not for you, but if you do like it, you have more than 40 books to love.

I would also suggest Bilbo, forget the movie, please. Bilbo is wonderful and a perfect place to get a taste of Fantasy.

If you want to try Sci-Fi, perhaps Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C. Clarke. A classic but don’t bother with book 2 or 3.

    3. I’d give Recursion by Blake Crouch as an easy recommendation. Very Inception sort of story, action packed and easy to get into.

    4. *Ender’s Game* by Orson Scott Card?

*Into Thin Air* by Jon Krakauer?

      *Dune* by Frank Herbert?
