I loved The Bastard of Istanbul by Elif Shafak, the multi person narrative and the nuance and culture rolled into it … cant get enough of it… i’ve since read the island of missing trees, forty rules of love and 10 minutes and 38 seconds .. all amazing… I’ve also attempted reading Orhan Pumuk however i found its overall tone slightly depressing across a couple novels. Any other writers i can try whod be similar or close to Elif Shafak’s style.
