Hey,
So I'm searching for a strong female centric book, will appreciate your suggestions. I've read 'A thousand splendind suns' by Khaled Hosseini a few years back and it is still stuck with me. The thought of the book itself makes my heart to constrict. I love that book. >! I stay away from books that doesn't have a happy ending. But, eventhough the book didn't have a happy ending, I couldn't help but love that book. !<
Looking for something similar, but will appreciate if it have a good ending.

They’re classic, but I always always recommend Amy Tan’s catalogue. The Joy Luck Club is best in class in this category for me, but the Bonesetter’s Daughter was surprisingly addictive, and I loved the nuance of The Kitchen-God’s Wife.
The Mermaids Singing by Lisa Carey is another that is great.
And newer and hardly ever lauded is the Clandestine Magic trilogy by Colleen Cowley. Strong women and a super creative take on magical systems. Subversive lives rent free in my head.
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
How We Disappeared by Jing-Jing Lee
The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox by Maggie O’Farrell
I mostly read sci fi and have not read A Thousand Splendid Suns, so hopefully you will like these:
* Ammonite by Nicola Griffith
* Glory Season by David Brin
* The Bel Dame Apocrypha series by Kameron Hurley
* The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood. This is literary fiction.
