    Context, I really enjoy books with some sort of fantasy element. I don’t like the old medieval sword and horse type stuff, rather contemporary with a little bit of supernatural like Carrie by Stephen King, or Vicious by V.E Schwab.

    Honestly it doesn’t even have to have that though. I also love thrillers as long as they’re not really cliche 😎

    2. IMAJICA by Clive Barker is a dark fantasy novel that has a sprawling narrative involving religion, magic, secret societies, past lives and much, much more. On the surface, it is about a shape-shifting assassin escorting an artist across multiple worlds. Under the surface, it is a retelling of the life of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdeline. My favorite book. I read it every year.
