What I mean is, a book that reads breezy and light. Something pleasant and warm and not at all challenging, but still beautiful.
Something like if 100 Year of Solitude was all sunshine and rainbows. If Proust was an easier read. Just a meandering walk though some wonderful prose without much worry about where it's going or what it means. Without any grim undertones or pulling away the veil over the absurdity of existence or anything heavy like that.
I'm not looking for anything YA. Please, don't suggest that genre.
