Please someone suggest something other than the usual suspects (looking at you murderbot,Sanderson, and discworld).

    I enjoy Will Wight,.

I just finished the last book that's out of dungeon crawler Carl.

I tried Joe Hill – too wordy.

I enjoyed Steve Cavanagh until it got to be to much.

I enjoy Harlan Coben, Michael Crichton, and Tom Holt.

I hate high fantasy, and one of my top 3 books of all time is "mysterious case of the dog in the night time"

If you like Harlan Coben, I’d say try the Orphan X series by Gregg Hurwitz

    2. If you’ve never read The Perks of being a Wallflower (Stephen Chbosky). It’s a YA book worth your time.
Is that too much of a ”Usual Suspect”?
Try Dandelion Wine. It’s Ray Bradbury, but not sci fi. Or Something Wicked this way Comes. Also Ray Bradbury- Not Sci fi, but maybe a bit supernatural. All three are coming of age stories. Speaking of coming of age stories – The Body by Stephen King is exceptional.

      Have fun!

      Curious Incident.

*The Anubis Gates* by Tim Powers. I keep recommending this one. If anyone has taken me up on it, they haven’t reported back. Totally engaging with a complex plot that is easy to follow because everything gets laid in place perfectly.
