I’m an older millennial, and growing up my grandfather was a bit of an amateur naturalist. He was always reading to me out of the Encyclopedia Brittanica, his Audubon Society books, and a few other books he had collected.
One that I became quite obsessed with was a black and white illustrated book on snakes. The printing was probably something between the 50s to the 70s.
It actually had an illustration of a Hoop Snake rolling down a hill after someone. Of course, that’s not scientifically accurate at all, but it was in there.
I need help figuring out what the book was. No I don’t expect anyone to do the research for me, but I would appreciate some advice on sources or experts to consult. Thanks!
