    I don’t necessarily need a romance book. I generally don’t read them.

I have experienced quite an upsetting rejection recently. A really deflating type. One that hurts when you try and think about getting to know a new person.

I’ve been wanting to start the second book to a sci-fi series I’ve started but I can’t. I can’t pick it up.

I recently read the catcher in the rye and there was something so poignant about Holdens feelings towards growing up. That depressive sort of realisation he’s experiencing really resonated with me. I’m looking for a book like that I guess where the focus is that about love.
Maybe it’s about never finding love. I’m not sure.

Just not a romance book. If that makes sense.

    1. I really liked Winter’s Orbit by Everina Maxwell, and recommend it a lot. It’s scifi [very lite scifi – space opera.] It’s a whodunnit, and it’s also a slow-burn romance [mlm but can be read by anyone who’s ever been in a relationship!]

There are difficulties, and misunderstandings, and rejections; all the roller-coaster stuff. Both MCs grow up a lot in the book.

You may not like romance but you may like this one! It could resonate for you. If you don’t want a happy ending though, maybe this book’s not for you!
