I’ve never been an avid reader in my adult life but have read here and there if I had a burning interest in a particular book. I would like to try and increase my time reading for a lot of reasons, not only to help my headspace in general but also to be more informed on cohesive ideas rather than using my brainpower to catalogue every TikTok known to man. I’d like to have informed conversations on a lot of topics and for that reason am quite interested in non fiction. Having said that, fiction is generally more appealing as something I can use to completely zone out, and at the moment my life is hectic. I’ve started like 10 books recently and haven’t persisted with any of them. Suggest me a book that is engaging and also helps build a (basic) knowledge around around something, and might help me narrow down my style as a reader. As a reference, I recently read Sapiens and loved it. It was informative, built ideas around a topic I had never looked into, but had some creative liberties and personal input from the author. It shifted my worldview by the end of it.

TLDR: I’m looking for advice on finding my groove and interests to become a regular reader, and would be particularly interested to hear specific book suggestions to help me learn the reading habit
