I’m not much of a reader. I’m much more of a visual person but I have enjoyed several books in the past. But reading still sometimes feels like an effort to me.
None the less, I want to read. But I’d like to read to enhance my knowledge, but I don’t wish to be bored to death that I drop the book before finishing it.
Two books which I’ve read and actually learnt something:
Shoe Dog – Phil Knight , this didn’t even feel like an autobiography to me. It was so well written and very compelling throughout.
Project Hail Mary – Andy Weir , incredible sci-fi novel that I thoroughly enjoyed but also learned so learned so many little science facts I never knew.
A book I did not enjoy despite it being quite renown: Sapiens by Yuval Harari
Would love to hear what genre or type of books I should focus on so that I can have fun while also learn stuff.

Read what you enjoy, until you enjoy reading.
Andy Weir has a few other books (The Martian is the best imo).
J.D. Moehringer has ghostwritten a few other books like Shoe Dog you might enjoy.
Some people get hung up on reading the “right” books, which they don’t enjoy, so they quit reading.
