I’ll be staying at my parent’s country house for a week by myself. It’s big, old, creepy, set back far from the road, and the perfect setting to read some spooky.
So, I’m looking for what it says on the tin. I’ve read things like the exorcist, Head Full of Ghosts, Edith Wharton’s ghost stories (meh), Henry James’s (hell yeah), MR James, too. I’ve also made my way through Shirley Jackson’s stuff. I’d take nonfic, too. I read Devil in the White City years ago, and it scared the crap out of me. But most recently, I’ve read Revenge and The Diving Pool & Other Stories by Ogawa. They made me physically uncomfortable. I loved it. If anyone has any recs, I’ll be forever grateful.
