Not sure why, but I just have this craving right now.
I imagine something where the reader and the protagonists figure the truth out alongside each other. I guess, I'd really like some darker vibes (the conclusion doesn't need to fit that vibe though)… would also be open to non-fiction…
For example: There's a village and the residents have all kinds of stories about the hermit living on the fringes of the forest. And then someone starts to figur out what really happened to him. (Could also be in retrospect, when the person in question is already long dead or sth…)
Can also have magical realism/supernatural elements or something similar.
I'm in general not a huge fan of romance, so would appreciate if there wasn't much (or any) of that in the book (especially if it's just shoehorned in and written in a cringe-inducing way).
