Hi all! I am nearly finished with Memoirs of a Geisha and I dread completing it, I hate finishing books because they’re done, no longer can I get sucked into the world within them.
So, I’m hoping to get a new book to pick up as soon as I’m done with Memoirs, I do know the book is somewhat controversial, and inaccurate but I do enjoy the characters, the descriptions and just overall feelings I experience reading it. (Other than a certain sickening scene that made me put the book down for a good while.) So I am desperate to find another like it. I’m contemplating getting “Snow Country” by Yasunari Kawabata as it’s recommended for readers of Memoirs. But I’d LOVE to hear more recommendations, I’m not very interested in true biographies, unless they read like a full novel story. Thank you!
