For context: I'm a big fan of literary fiction, both classics—like Henry James, Virginia Woolf, and Thomas Mann—and also contemporary lit fiction like Rachel Cusk, Michelle de Kretser, and Caoilinn Hughes, just as examples.
In reading slumps in the past, classic and contemporary "cosy" murder mysteries have worked, from Agatha Christie to Louise Penny. They don't seem to be working now, though.
Lately, I can't seem to focus on much at all, and this year I've read half what I normally do in any given year. Any suggestions for getting out of a reading slump with those above names in mind would be appreciated!
